Steve Shapiro, our founder, and CEO, dreamed of his business becoming a reality since his ASU college days during the mid-eighties. Through research of his own, Steve concluded that the drug war was an organized effort to control people thru imprisonment and harsh enforcement. He discovered the medical benefits of cannabis building his desire and passion to see changes.

When Arizona finally passed an operable Medical Cannabis bill – Prop 203, Steve made every effort to gain a license. After 1000s of miles driven and two attempts to strike down the law, Superior Organics opened on July 31, 2013, in Superior Arizona.

After 4.5 years in Superior Arizona, and traveling all over the world visiting cannabis businesses, Steve has created and designed the best of the best for his new Superior Dispensary located at 211 S. 57th Drive, in Phoenix. This state-of-the-art dispensary is a one-stop-shopping facility with in house kitchen. It provides the ultimate customer experience bringing the foremost practices of the industry and offering premium local products. The Superior Dispensary grows, manufactures, and sells our own products in both retail and wholesale markets. Superior is one of the few remaining locally owned and operated dispensaries and has a grow facility located in Central in Phoenix.

Steve’s business background as a financial advisor for 25 years, helping clients plan and achieve financial goals has honed his business acumen to form and organize his pursuit.
As a dispensary owner his empathy and compassion have helped Steve serve patients and take care of his employees.
